Dans le cadre de sa mission de soutien à l'agriculture durable et à la formation professionnelle, BAE a conclu un partenariat stratégique avec une exploitation agricole située à Nosy Be, à Madagascar.
Ce partenariat a pour objectif principal de développer des programmes de formation adaptés aux réalités locales de l’agriculture, avec un accent mis sur :
Outre la formation, l’accord signé prévoit également un volet économique : la ferme partenaire s’engage à acheter une partie des productions issues des coopératives formées par les bénéficiaires du programme.
Ce modèle de circuit court permet d'assurer un débouché commercial immédiat aux jeunes producteurs, renforçant ainsi la viabilité économique de leurs projets.
"Ce partenariat est une première à Nosy Be", explique Mahamoud Ibrahim, coordinateur local de BAE. "Notre ambition est d’étendre cette approche à d’autres zones rurales et insulaires de Madagascar dans les prochaines années."
Les premiers modules de formation débuteront dès février 2024, avec une première cohorte de 40 jeunes bénéficiaires.
